Shooting with cameras from Aida

Images for Life is a community-based project run through the Al-Rowwad cultural and theatre training centre, that is training youth and adults in professional photography and video. Based in Aida refugee camp, it is the first community-based center of this kind in Palestine.

Al-Rowwad center is initiator of "Beautiful Non-violent Resistance". Alrowwad is an independent, dynamic, community-based center which encourages normal childhood and life by targeting behaviour, knowledge, concepts and practices through beautiful and non-violent means. The center is in the heart of Aida refugee camp, a home for many Palestinian refugees living near Bethlehem.
Aida Refugee Camp was established in 1948 after 750,000 Palestinians were displaced from their homes.  Supported largely by U.N.R.W.A. (United Nations Relief and Works Agency), the camp has been home to many families who can no longer return to their original homes.
