Shooting with cameras from Aida

Al-Rowwad has established Images for life, a community-based media center, focussing on training in photography and video. Situated in Aida refugee camp, it is the first community-based center of its kind in Palestine.

The training is comprised of a group of 40 young Palestinians and 20 adults, and hopes to empower them through media, give them new opportunities, develop a large range of activities and produce some artistic works that can be sold and distributed. On top of this, the project is looking to propose commercial services for the community such as advertising, short films for organizations, and documenting important community events.

The 2-year project includes 8 months of training, 3 months of development of artistic concepts; 4 months of production and 5 months of distribution.
